From Friday 16 September 2011 until December old Tony's hair home will be in the fabulous Brixton Village.

I will be popping up in Two and Six – a handsome emporium situated in the heart of Brixton Village selling "a hand-picked selection of fine vintage menswear, handcrafted and antique pieces of furniture and curiously useful objects".

Come down and have a Brixton Village experience where we are keeping it raw – no hair wash policy (to go with the no basin policy) – if you really need that hair washed the Jamaican hair salon around the corner will let us use their basin if you fancy throwing them a few quid! Although nothing a bit of water spray can't sort I say.

Live entertainment on a Thursday night @ Brixton Village and incredbile choice of food and great cawfee.

For those of you who frequent Bloomsbury on a Wednesday I am still there.

Badlambs

Tony Mellis – the heart and soul behind Badlambs – has been in the hair business for over 20 years.

Starting out in Sydney before becoming part of the Adelaide International Festival which saw him doing late night cuts for artists and punters alike.

In 2001 Tony joined the Famous Speigletent (a 1920’s cabaret tent where Marlene Dietrich used to perform in the 1930’s) to cut in their late night club at the Edinburgh Fringe.

At the end of season Tony made his way to London, stopping off at Tommy Guns salon in Soho, before going freelance setting up a very novel installation in Westbourne Studios in West London where resident designers and the public sat at a mobile mirror for a haircut on the way to the bar for a pint.

Eventually, Tony found his way to a little salon called Slims nestled in the bosom of Bloomsbury on Lambs Conduit Street. Very soon after joining Slims, Tony was able to take over the business and Badlambs was born.

Kevin.Murphy have taken the guess work out of styling and injected fun and luxury into products that can be applied to all different hair types. Not everybody wants to spend forty minutes on their hair even though they still want it to look beautiful.
